After a cancelled flight and everything, we are finally in London! The flight from RDU to Heathrow was fine. There was some turbulence, but that's to be expected. Everyone arrived safely with all luggage. Yay!
Right now, I'm sitting in my flat with some of my friends. Our flat is apparently one of the nicer ones. It's three floors(ish) and we have a cute kitchen and a bathroom to go with each of the three rooms. You will see pictures soon, I promise! I'm sharing a room with Amanda and Kinsey and our room is fairly packed right now. We are leaving soon to get a few things for our room and suite.
Very exciting stuff! I'll write more later!

Part 2
After unpacking in our flats, we got lunch and explored a tiny bit of our neighborhood. We went to the Pound Store (like the dollar store) and then to eat. We ate a tiny little restaurant with the nicest cooks/owners! I tried chicken curry - totally outside of my comfort zone. It wasn't too bad! Then we went to the Boots drugstore and headed back to the flat to finish unpacking.
A bit later, we had our first orientation with Dr. Agnew and Craig, who helps maintain our buildings. All 35 of us were so tired from the flight. All of our eyes were drooping. After that, a bunch of us went to put money on our Oyster cards for the Tube. Then we decided to try out the Tube by riding to Piccadilly Circus. I can't wait to go back! It was super fun looking - lots of shows, lots of lights. The Tube itself was crazy packed, though! I guess that's what we get for riding it during "rush hour." Oh well! Lesson learned.
Right now, we are about to have a flat meeting and making a grocery list. Fun! More to come later =)
