Fruit Kebabs

Today I slept in a bit (or at least tried) and spent some time to myself when everyone was away in class. I did a bit of work and cleaning. Then, I decided to take a little walk up Edgware Road and look for shoes and strawberries. No luck, so I headed back to the flat. Soon, everyone got back and we just hung out a bit. I finished my Sociology journal and then went with Chelsey, Jordan, Sam, and Kinsey to Chelsey's practicum school's little cake and fruit sale. Her class was raising money to buy a couple acres of rainforest. They were so cute! I bought a Nutella-covered fruit kebab and a little cupcake. I supported the rainforst!

After that, I went with Chelsey and Kinsey to the National Portrait Gallery. It was very, very cool to see what some famous scientists and historical figures looked like. My favorite was a portrait of Shakespeare that is said to be the only picture of the poet painted from life. Ah! How cool is that? I saw lots of writers and scientists that I recognized from textbooks and such. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Now, I've just finished dinner and am spending the night just relaxing and maybe doing work. We have all just realized how little time we left in London, so we are packing our weekends full of fun things. This weekend should be great!
