In the morning, I had the flat to myself. I decided to do some laundry and a bit of cooking for the week. Things didn't go quite as I planned, though. In my attempt to make chicken, I somehow turned on the smoke alarm! And let me tell you, the darn thing was LOUD! I walked out of the kitchen into lots and lots of smoke. It was bad. Luckily, I ran around and threw open all the windows and doors. I was almost getting frantic, when Chelsey and Mich walked in the door. They helped me out a lot and, even though the alarm went off for like 30 minutes, eventually one of the boys on the trip walked downstairs and helped us turn it off. Oh sheesh - what an adventure! I need to be banned from the stove.
After that, I was a bit fearful of cooking lunch, but I did. Then we headed off to sociology for presentations. They all got a bit repetitive, but I think we did ok. At least it's over!
I came back to the flat after class, cooked dinner, and am now hanging out around the flat. I might try to do some art or maybe I'll just hang out more. Who knows? I hope to have more adventures over the weekend to update you on!
