Rain, Rain, Go Away

Today was a very rainy day. I was not a huge fan of the rain, but I still had a good day regardless. I woke up, played a bit on the computer, and did some of my art journal. After getting ready, I headed to the school to meet Kinsey for lunch. We went nearby to a Thai place called Banchoo. I had some chicken, rice, and cashew dish with vegetables. Yum!

After lunch, we headed to the British Library. It was so neat! We saw an exhibition with lots of old books and manuscripts. There were handwritten books by the Bronte sisters, Lewis Carroll, Jane Austen, Thomas Hardy, and many others. We also saw historical documents written by Elizabeth I and other kings and queens. Two copies of the Magna Carta were also there! I also liked seeing different music by composers like Handel and Beethoven, as well as haphazard Beatles lyrics. Some of my favorites, though, were Shakespearean documents. There was a copy of the First Folio and a document that is said to have been written by Shakespeare himself. The whole place was just really, really cool!

After that, we braved the rain once again and headed back to the flat. I got to talk to Dad for a bit, which was a nice surprise! We were excited to change into warm clothes and just hang out around the flat. I have been working on my art journal and am now all caught up. The rest of the evening will be spent indoors, hopefully reading. Reading is best on rainy days. I hope you all are having nice weather back home!
