Hey all! I had a very fun Friday today. The day started with Kinsey, Amanda, Sam, and I going to Kensington Palace. We looked at some of the historical exhibits, as well as an exhibit on Princess Diana and another on debutantes. Princess Diana is really fascinating and inspirational and her clothes are beautiful. I loved the lay-out and info in the debutante exhibit, though. They taught you how to waltz and how to properly curtesy and walk nicely. So fun! The palace itself was quite nice and I learned a lot. We also saw the gardens, which were nice even though the flowers weren't all in bloom yet.
After that, we ate packed lunches in Hyde Park and people watched for a good couple hours. It was a sunny day and it was fun to see everyone outside. Unfortunately, it was a bit chilly, so we felt the need to travel indoors after a bit.
We decided to head to the Science Museum and see what we could see there. We ended up seeing an IMAX movie called Fly Me to the Moon. It was a cartoon about these flies who travel with Armstrong to the moon. I thought it was super cute and I actually learned some fun things! After the movie, we only had like 20 minutes, so we went to this interactive genetics exhibit. We all tried this machine that took your picture and showed you how you would look when you got older. It didn't work super well because I ended up looking like an African American woman with tiny teeth. Interesting...
After that, Amanda, Kinsey, and I met up with Jordan and Chelsey at a restaurant called The Sway for dinner. We got a deal where we got dinner and show tickets for 20 pounds - not bad! Dinner was good and we were all very excited to see Spring Awakening again. It moved theatres and it was absolutely amazing! We got upgrades on our seats and ended up in seats 6 rows from the stage. It was so nice seeing the show when I didn't have to pay attention to little details for class. All in all, it was so good and all the songs are currently stuck in my head. Afterwards, we all were a bit stalkerish and waited outside the stage door. Unfortunately, none of us were brave enough to talk to any of the actors, though we saw all of our favorites!
Now I am back blogging and am about to hang out and head to bed. It was a really fun and busy day!
