I Haggled! (Well, Kinda...)

Aloha! Thought I'd switch things up with some new language. I hope you all are having fabulous Saturdays. My day was pretty great, so I'll tell you about it.

I woke up this morning and did some work. I printed off my paper for theatre (even though I hate it) and started work on a Sociology presentation. In the afternoon, Kinsey, Sam, and I headed to Camden Market. It was SO COOL! The area is kind of punk-rockish with lots of people. The market itself is huge and we had a great time looking at jewelry, clothing, crafts, and books, amongst other things. I bought a couple souvenirs, which was good.

My favorite purchase of the day was actually a present for me, though. I bought a hat! Not like a baseball cap, but a cutesy hat. I tried it on in the store and the salesman said "As a friend, I'm telling you the hat looks good." He also said he would cut down the price. I told him I still had to think about it, but I decided to go back and retry it on later. Another guy was there and he told me he'd cut down the price even more. Awesome! I decided I would take it for his offered price. I ended up talking a bit to the salespeople, who thought I was Spanish. When I told them I was American, the guy said "I'm giving you a good price because I like American girls." Haha - he was really funny. But anyways, that was a very long story about my haggling skills (though I really didn't haggle) and my new hat.

Before we left, we got some really tasty Chinese food. All the food at the market looked absolutely incredible. Earlier, we had all gotten huge cookies which were awesome. The Chinese food lady that served Kinsey and I was really funny because she was all sneaky. She whispered to us, saying that she would throw in an extra spring roll for free if we bought the main course. I am proud of myself because I tried the spring roll! Though I still don't like them.

Anyways, after about 5 hours out and about in Camden, we returned to the flat. For  some reason, we decided to try our hand at breakdancing in the flat. I can't say we were very good, but it was funny nonetheless. After that, we all went back to work. I've been art journaling - super fun. Tonight, Chelsey is going to teach us some fun dances and I am super excited. I'm just in a dancing mood!

Anywho, I better be off. Time for art. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
