A Gray Day

Today is a gray and rainy day in London. I miss the sunshine! I set today aside to do some work. I have been somewhat productive, but I don't have much to show for it. Oh well! Around 3:00, Amanda and I went to do some errands. We headed out to Paperchase to get some paper for our art projects. When you go into Paperchase, though, you have to be ready to find a million and one things you have to have. I found a few other fun things to buy, though I had to limit myself to just those. After art shopping, we headed to Piccadilly Circus. When we got out of the tube, we saw a massive protest! People were all in the streets, protesting for freedom in Sri Lanka. It was madness! Luckily, there were police officers everywhere and it was a friendly protest, but it was crazy nonetheless. Anywho, in Piccadilly, Amanda was looking for London prints for her art project. We headed to a lot of different souvenir shops and found her some useful things. At the end of our trip, we stopped into McDonald's for a little ice cream snack. I had a free little Monopoly piece, so I was happy to use it up. After that, we headed back to the flat. I cooked some dinner and am now sitting here knowing that I should work on one of my numerous assignments, but really not wanting to. Hopefully I will be able to Skype with most of my suitemates tonight, too!
