Some More Art

As usual, I don't have all too much to write about. I woke up this morning to do work. I finished my sociology journal for the week and got a good start on my final art project/exhibition. Not too bad for a morning's work!

At about 1:45, we left for our art class. We started class at a gallery called White Cube. It was a very white room filled with some incredibly creative artwork. The artist did a lot of cut-outs and used really bright colors. I was a huge fan. After that, we went to a smaller gallery to see a video exhibition. I had never really seen video art before, so I was excited to go. I was also impressed by that exhibition. The third gallery we visited was huge. We saw an exhibition called Mythologies and it was very bizarre. I liked it because it was very different, but I did not understand a lot of pieces. My favorite piece, though, was one where the artist posed the question 'what is beauty?' to blind people. She photographed the people she asked and took pictures of what they described as beautiful. It was really moving. All in all, the galleries were really fun and I'm so glad we were exposed to them.

Now I am back in the flat, ready to spend the night being productive. I have another very long weekend (starting tonight), so I have lots of fun things planned. I'm excited!
